Polish stamp at China 1999

"China 1999" World Philatelic Exhibition held on August 21st-30th 1999 in Beijing, organised at the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the People's Republic of China.

To commemorate the participation in the Exhibition, the Polish Post introduced a stamp in the form of a block into the market. The stamp represents Chinese ideograms expressing the contents: "China 1999. World Philatelic Exhibition" and fragments of a dragon, constituting a symbol of happiness according to the Chinese mythology. The cover of the block presents the dragon and symbolic sea waves.

To commemorate the participation at China 1999 The World Philatelic Exhibition which held at Beijing on 21th till 30th of August 1999, Indonesian Post have issued a souvenir sheet featured 2 white rabbits in the garden. Background of Chinese scene (landscape and heritage building) lightly shown.

Cuba stamp at China’99.

Cuba Post has participated at the International Philatelic Exhibition, China ‘99 and issued a souvenir sheet comprised of one stamp depicted head of Giant Panda and background picture of Giant Panda with its baby in the bamboo forest.
