Vanuatu–Shanghai World Expo 2010

Vanuatu has become one of the leading visitor destinations in the South Pacific. Its capacity to host tourists with high quality accommodation, sightseeing and adventures is equal to anywhere in the Pacific and its history, uniqueness and friendliness make it a must-see for anyone wanting a holiday of a lifetime.
Vanuatu Post is proud to release this stamp issue in support of the Vanuatu Government’s participation in the World Expo in Shanghai, from May 1 2010 until October 31 2010.

To commemorate the attendance of Vanuatu at the World Expo in Shanghai 2010, a miniature stamp features a land of contrasting beauty from the intriguing Snake dancers of Banks in the north to Mt. Yasur on the southern island of Tanna. It shows the amazing land divers of Pentecost, the famous dugongs of Epi and the beautiful location of Port Vila with its surrounding islands such as Iririki. The friendly people of Vanuatu also feature, showing their smiling faces, ceremonial face decoration and musical talents. The dive site of the SS President Coolidge off Santo with its Lady statue and the ever-present Tam tam slit drum complete the issue.

Vanuatu is a land of diversity and amazing contrasting beauty – from turquoise coral seas and white sandy beach islands to rain forests and fiery volcanoes, the scenery of Vanuatu defies description.Vanuatu is the dream land of the flora and fauna panoramas with colourful birds and flowers matching another world of tropical fish and coral underwater.

Shanghai Expo 2010 –Liechtenstein

 
Liechtenstein be participated  in a world exposition Shanghai EXPO 2010 under the title “Better city, better life” for the first time since Hanover 2000, has as one of the smallest of the 227 participating countries chosen the subtheme “Dialogue and Respect” for its contribution

Dialogue is also the theme of the “EXPO 2010 Shanghai China” stamp issue which Leone Ming has designed. This souvenir sheet presents firstly an “Atmospheric View of Vaduz” (face value CHF 1.60) painted by Johann Jakob Schmidt (1804–1844) and dating from 1833, and secondly the picture “Tidal bore on the Qiantang river” (face value CHF 1.90) by the Chinese painter and poet Xu Gu (1824–1896), which was painted at about the same time.

Croatia stamp at Shanghai Expo 2010

Croatia Philatelic Bureau has participated in the World Stamp Exhibition Shanghai 2010. The souvenir sheet has issued for commemorating their participation. The background of souvenir sheet has depicted the map of the Shanghai Underground The better the town, the better the life in it and the stamp depicted the map of the Old town of Dubrovnik, Croatia.

San Marino at Shanghai 2010






San Marino participated at the Philatelic Expo 2010 Shanghai by issuing the souvenir sheet consist of 4 stamps featured their scene of Government Building with the statue of liberty and the main towers. In the background depicted also the Great Wall of China.It is unique souvenir sheet.
