The concept of the joint issue Species at Risk – Australian Joint Territories (Australia, Christmas Island, Cocos Keelling Islands, Australia Antarctic Territory )was an initiative of Australia Post and designed by Kevin Stead, from South Australia.
Norfolk Island’s contribution to this issue is the Green Parrot. A plan to save this beautiful parrot from extinction began about fifteen years ago and its numbers are steadily increasing. The stamps has issued on August 4, 2009, and comprised of 5 single stamps with uniform of face value, 55c.
